Meeting held between President and Fathers of the Catholic Bishops Conference

A meeting was recently held between President Ranil Wickramasinghe and the President of the Catholic Bishops’ Conference and the Fathers of the Catholic Bishops’ Conference including Kurunegala Bishop Harold Anthony Perera.

General Secretary of the Catholic Bishops’ Conference, Father Don Anton Jayakodi, Auxiliary Bishop of Colombo and other Fathers were present on the occasion.

The education reforms in the country, the progress of the investigation into the Easter Sunday terrorist attack, the environment and the problems that have arisen in connection with the Catholic Church were widely discussed here.

The President also informed the fathers of the Catholic Bishops Conference about the progress made by the country’s economy and the government’s program to solve the people’s life problems.
