Speaking extensively on the SJB’s proposed salary increase he said the salaries of all government servants will be increased by 24 percent, while the salaries of other higher grades including professionals will be increased by 50 percent.
“Considering this salary increase, the SJB invites all Sri Lankan professionals and others to come back to serve their motherland,” he said.
Meanwhile SJB MP Eran Wickramaratne valued the services of school teachers and said steps will also be taken to give them an opportunity to travel in public transport free of charge.
