Police arrest woman with counterfeit currency

44-year-old female, who had in her possession 62 counterfeit 5,000 rupee currency notes, was arrested by the police.

The suspect, is a resident of the Henegama area in Akuressa, had been arrested during a search operation conducted in the Veluwana area in the Dematagoda Police Division last night (05).

Further investigations are being conducted by the Dematagoda Police.
