Two Elpitiya PS nominations rejected

Two nominations submitted for the Elpitiya Pradeshiya Sabha (PS) election have been rejected by the Returning Officer in-charge of Galle District.

Nominations handed over by the Sri Lanka Communist Party and independent group submitted by Chaminda Prasad Udayakumara have been rejected while the Democratic People’s Congress has refrained from submitting their nomination papers.

The Elpitiya Pradeshiya Sabha (PS) election will be held on October 26, 2024 which was announced by the Returning Officer in-charge of the Galle district. Eight recognised political parties and one independent group will be contesting the Elpitiya PS election.
