This Jaya Pirith event is held in honour of the current President, Mr. Ranil Wickremesinghe, who is devoted to advancing Buddhism, preserving the Sambuddha Order, and improving the welfare of our citizens, said the Minister Ramesh Pathirana.

We are living in a time when the long-cherished Sambuddha Dharma faces unprecedented challenges. It is our collective duty to safeguard Buddhism by supporting the Maha Sangha. This Jaya Pirith recital represents a crucial step in fulfilling that responsibility.

These remarks were made today (15)  during a special meeting and Jayapirith chanting ceremony at the office of MP Wajira Abeywardena in Uluvitike, Galle, aimed at invoking blessings on President Ranil Wickremesinghe for his success in the upcoming election.
