“Everyone should support President to develop the country”

Former Minister of Agriculture and Plantation Industries Mr. Mahinda Amaraweera visited the Ministry of Agriculture in the morning today (24) and handed over all the officially used vehicles and other equipment to the Ministry Secretary.

After that, the minister addressed the staff and expressed these views.

The people have used the referendum to elect a new government. According to the election results, we believe that the current President Mr. Anura Dissanayake will take all measures for the development of the country, even though a percentage of 42% has been obtained.

Also, we will not criticize the decisions taken by him as the President in any way and discourage the President or his government. Instead, we believe that a positive new political culture and a political culture that does not criticize based on hypocrisy should be developed in this country instead of politics that opposes everything.

Therefore, everyone in the country should support the President at this time. As a political group that operates externally even if the parliament is dissolved, we give him all our support.

Also, we are starting a program to win the general election by uniting all parties and organizations in the next general election. So far, all the discussions in this regard have been successful.

Also, according to the programs started by the Ministry of Agriculture, we are now self-sufficient in rice, chicken and eggs. For the first time, we started a program where MOP fertilizer is provided free of charge. The cargo ship with fertilizers are currently moving towards our country in the sea.
