Everyone should support President Anura Dissanayake to develop the country – Former Minister Mahinda Amaraweera

Former Minister of Agriculture and Plantation Industries Mahinda Amaraweera visited the Ministry of Agriculture yesterday (24) morning and handed over all the official vehicles and other equipment to the Ministry Secretary. After which, the Minister addressed the staff.

The people have used the referendum to elect a new government. According to the election results, we believe that President Anura Dissanayake will take all measures for the development of the country.

Also, we will not criticise the President’s decisions in any way and discourage the President or his government. Instead, we believe that a political culture that does not criticise based on hypocrisy should be developed in this country instead of politics that opposes everything. Therefore, everyone in the country should support the President at this time.

Also, we are starting a programme to win the General Election by uniting all parties and organisations in the next General Election. So far, all the discussions in this regard have been successful.

Also, according to the programmes started by the Ministry of Agriculture, we are now self-sufficient in rice, chicken and eggs. For the first time, we started a programme where MOP fertiliser is provided free of charge.a
