Over 43kg ‘Kush’ cannabis seized at BIA

Over 43 kg of ‘Kush’ cannabis worth about Rs. 440 million has been seized by the officers of Police Narcotics Bureau (PNB) at the Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) in Katunayake

PNB has arrested a  21-year-old British national passenger, who had arrived at the BIA from Bangkok, Thailand onboard a SriLankan Airlines flight at 9.15 a.m. this morning (26).

The cannabis were found concealed inside his luggage, said the PNB.

Further investigations are being conducted.
