The Sri Lanka Foreign Employment Bureau has announced that numerous job opportunities in Israel’s construction sector are now available to Sri Lankans. These positions are part of a new trend in Israel’s construction industry, with the Israeli Government agreeing to recruit skilled workers from Sri Lanka.
SLFEB Manager Madushan Kularatne in a release said that job openings are in specific trades such as wire benders, tile masons, plaster masons, and shuttering carpenters. Sri Lankan workers aged between 25 and 44 years, with relevant experience and skills in these fields, are eligible to apply.
“Applicants must submit their applications through the official website of the Sri Lanka Foreign Employment Bureau at www.slbfe.lk. The Bureau has emphasised that no third-party organisations or individuals are authorised to handle this recruitment, and no payments should be made during the application process”, the release said. The Bureau also urges the public to report any incidents of individuals or organisations demanding payment for recruitment purposes to their Special Investigation Department via the hotline 011286424.
