Duminda Hulangamuwa, Prof. Anil Jayantha appointed President’s Senior Consultants

Cabinet of Ministers on Monday approved the appointment of Ceylon Chamber of Commerce Chairman Duminda Hulangamuwa as the Senior Consultant of Economic Affairs and Finance of the President while Prof. Anil Jayantha Fernando of the Faculty of the Management Studies and Commerce of the Jayawardenepura University as Senior Consultant of Economic Affairs and Finance of the President.

The appointments have taken affect from September 24 on an honorary basis. As per powers vested by the Article 41 (1) of the Constitution, the president is empowered to appoint his staff by consulting the Cabinet of Ministers.

Duminda Hulangamuwa is Ernst & Young Country Managing Partner for Sri Lanka and the Maldives. He has experience of 30 years in the industry, and is a member of the Chartered Institute of Accountants of Sri Lanka and the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (UK)
