Hindu ‘Aashirwada’ Pooja Blesses the Forthcoming Army Anniversary

A special ‘Aashirwada’ Pooja (blessing ceremony) of Hindu tradition was held on 02 October 2024 at the Mayurapathi Sri Bhadrakali Amman Kovil, Colombo 6, to invoke blessings for the forthcoming 75th Anniversary of the Sri Lanka Army (10 October) under the patronage of Lieutenant General Vikum Liyanage RWP RSP ndu, Commander of the Army.

The ‘Aashirwada’ Pooja ceremony, organized by the Sri Lanka Army Hindu Association, blessed the Army Flag amidst religious rituals. After the observances, the Commander of the Army made a cash donation for the kovil’s development work on behalf of all serving members of the organization.

Senior Officers, Officers, members of the Army Hindu Association participated in the prayer sessions.
