Roshan, Channa to spearhead Dilith’s Party

Former Minister Roshan Ranasinghe and two former MPs who represented the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) joined the Mawbima Janatha Party (MJP) headed by Dilith Jayaweera yesterday at the party headquarters in Colombo. Former Sports Minister Roshan Ranasinghe, who contested the last Presidential Election as an independent candidate joined MJP and he was given the party’s chairmanship. Former State Minister Prof.Channa Jayasumana, who was elected to the Parliament representing the SLPP, also joined MJP yesterday and was given the position of Vice President of the party.

SLPP former Gampaha District MP Milan Jayathilaka also joined MJP yesterday and he was appointed as the party’s Gampaha District Organiser.

Meanwhile, former Western Provincial Council member Rajitha Hapuarachchi was appointed as the Katana seat organiser of the party.
