The Sri Lanka Bureau of Foreign Employment (SLBFE) has confirmed that rumours about candidates who failed a previous skills test for Israel’s construction sector, would be able to reapply after six months are false.
New job opportunities will only be open to those who have never previously participated in any skills test.
They also mentioned that reapplication is only possible based on official notifications from the Israeli government, and so far, no such announcement has been made.
The Israeli government recruits workers from 15 countries, and the same conditions apply to all of them, the SLBFE noted.
Therefore, the SLBFE urges the public not to be misled by incorrect information. Currently, the SLBFE is facilitating online registrations for jobs in Israel’s construction sector, and they have received a significant response.
Upon registering online, candidates receive a text message with details about the required documents, as well as the date and location of the SLBFE office at which they need to be present for the interview.
