NPP will not misuse public property at campaign – Lalkantha

NPP executive member and Kandy District team leader K. D. Lalkantha said the National People’s Power (NPP) will set a new example for the country by engaging in the election process without using public property in any way for propaganda purposes.

He said that the NPP has always carried out an exemplary electoral campaign and even though it holds the office of President and Prime Minister, public property will not be used for electoral campaign like the previous governments.

Lalkantha was speaking to the media at the Kandy District Secretariat premises after handing over the NPP nomination list for the Kandy district.

He said since the NPP conducted a successful election campaign in the Presidential Election, there was no need for the party to launch a massive campaign in the General Election.
