Several schools in Kolonnawa, Kaduwela, Gampaha and Kelaniya closed today

The education authorities have decided to close several schools in Gampaha and Colombo districts due to inclement weather.

The Western Provincial Education Department has taken measures to close all schools in Kolonnawa, Kaduwela, Gampaha and Kelaniya Educational zonal divisions today and tomorrow.

Meanwhile schools in the Colombo zonal division will be closed today.

Due to the bad weather conditions, the Education Ministry has delegated the power to make decisions regarding the holding of schools today (14) to the Provincial Education Authorities and accordingly the Western Provincial Education Ministry has taken this decision.
