Committee to study reduction of school van, bus fees

The Cabinet has informed the Food Policy Committee to look into the reduction of school transport fees in relation to the reduction in fuel prices and give a report within two weeks.

Cabinet Spokesman Minister Vijitha Herath said that with the reduction in fuel prices, bus fares also decreased to some extent and accordingly, this report is called to decide on the reduction of school transport fees.

The Minister mentioned this at the weekly Cabinet media conference held yesterday at the Government Information Department.
