Over a record 105 leading tourism industry partners in Sri Lanka including leading destination and service providers led by the Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau (SLTPB) will participate in the World Travel Market 2024 (WTM London) from November 5-7 at the ExCeL London Exhibition Centre.
The Sri Lanka pavilion at the WTM 2024 has been designed to enhance easy access to information and services including face-to-face meetings with end-service providers for aspiring tourists and business-to-business interactions for travel and trade enterprises in the United Kingdom and beyond.
The number of tourist arrivals from the United Kingdom to Sri Lanka has seen a surge, reaching 136,464, with the majority being high- spending tourists, making the UK, the second largest source market for Sri Lanka. “The event will further help to boost these numbers,” an official from Sri Lanka Tourism said.
The World Travel Market is the largest annual tourism promotion market in the European Continent, attracting over 50,000 people, 5,000 trade partners and 3,000 journalists from around the globe each year.
