September 2024 shows marked drop in inflation

According to the latest data released by the Department of Census and Statistics yesterday, inflation in the country which was recorded as 1.1 percent in August 2024 has decreased to -0.2 percent for September 2024.

Also food inflation has declined to 0.5 percent in September 2024 from 2.3 percent in August 2024.Non-food inflation has declined to -0.7 percent in September 2024 from 0.2 percent in August 2024.
