SLPP will win a majority in this Parliamentary General Election – Namal
“The Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna will win a majority of MPs in this Parliamentary General Election,” Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) National Organiser Namal Rajapaksa said day before yesterday (22) in Kalutara.
He made this comment while declaring open the main election operations office of the Kalutara Electorate at Kalutara Old Road.
Speaking further on this occasion, he said: We work with the understanding of facts and recommendations that the people of the country expect. We will make the SLPP the decisive factor in this election.
Our party does not make decisions based on individuals. They are decisions taken by the party in general. We are not afraid of challenges. Although the Rajapaksas have a history written in Hambantota district for 88 years, this time they are appearing in the national list because they have a national responsibility on behalf of the party.
We are conducting our election campaign with the blessings of the leader of our party Mahinda Rajapaksa. Speaking on this occasion, Sanjeewa Edirimanna, the leader of the Kalutara district, group of candidates of the SLPP, he said, “Namal Rajapaksa is the national organiser of our party.
Therefore, he cannot be limited to one electorate or one district only. I am the one who requested him to appear from the national list.” SLPP’s Kalutara Electorate Organiser and Kalutara District Candidate Yohan Waduge said,
“Those who advanced from our party and became ministers jumped to one party after another. People will teach these jumpers a proper lesson this time”. Former Members of Parliament of the SLPP, Janaka Tissakuttiarachi and Lalith Warankumara and a group of other people were present at this event.
