New Chairman for Sri Lanka Sustainable Energy Authority

Prof. T.M. Wijendra Jayalath Bandara yesterday (4) assumed duties as the 8th Chairman of the Sri Lanka Sustainable Energy Authority (SLSEA), with SLSEA Director General Eng. J.M. Athula and officials from the Ministry of Power & Energy in attendance to welcome the new Chairman.

Prof. Bandara is a distinguished alumnus of the University of Ruhuna (UoR), who also holds an M.Phil. from the UoR and a Ph.D. from the University of Peradeniya (UoP).

Before joining the SLSEA, Prof. Bandara served the Faculty of Science of the UoP since 2019.

He has contributed immensely to further the course of Physical Sciences and has published many journals and articles and in the field of Renewable Energy, here and abroad.
