Opposition leaders propose Dr. Harsha de Silva for Chairman to COPF

Several Opposition party leaders have decided to nominate the name of SJB MP Dr. Harsha de Silva, for the post of Chairman to the Committee on Public Finance in Parliament.

The name of MP Dr. Harsha de Silva is scheduled to be presented to Parliament today for the post of Chairman of the Committee on Public Finance in Parliament,” New Democratic Front (NDF) MP Anuradha Jayaratne said.

The New Democratic Front, the United National Party and the other parties in the Opposition have agreed to appoint MP Dr. Harsha de Silva as the Chairman of the Committee on Public Finance,” he said.

MP Dr. Harsha de Silva has previously held the post of Chairman of the Committee on Public Finance twice.
