Southern PC top posts shuffled

Southern Province Governor Bandula Harischandra appointed two new Ssecretaries, one each for Education and Agriculture and one as Secretary to the Governor.

Accordingly, A.U. Welarathna was appointed Secretary of the Southern Provincial Ministry of Education, Lands, Land Development and Information. He was formerly the Secretary of the Southern Provincial Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation, Agrarian Development, Water Supply and Drainage & Food Supply and Distribution.

Ranjith Yapa who was Secretary of the Provincial Education Ministry has been temporarily transferred as Southern Province Chief Secretary. U.D. Chandralal, who was Secretary to the Governor, has been designated Secretary of the Southern Provincial Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs, Rural Development, Culture, Art Affairs and Probation & Child Care.

Bimal Indrajith De Silva who was Secretary of the Provincial Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs, Rural Development, Culture, has been transferred as Hambantota District Secretary

Indika Samarakoon, who formerly was Galle-Four Gravets Divisional Secretary, has been designated Secretary to the Governor. Chandima Muhandiram has been appointed Secretary of the Southern Provincial Ministry of Agriculture and Irrigation. He was earlier the Director General of the Rubber Development Board.
