‘Economic Policy Lessons for New Sri Lanka’ book launced

‘Economic Policy Lessons for New Sri Lanka’, book authored by former Assistant Governor of the Central Bank, Dr. H.N. Thenuwara, was presented  to Labour Minister and Deputy Minister of Economic Development Prof. Anil Jayantha Fernando and to Deputy Minister of Finance and Planning Dr. Harshana Suriyapperuma  at the Finance Ministry.

The event was also attended by Member of Parliament and Attorney-at-Law Lakmali Hemachandra and the Private Secretary to the Finance Minister R.A. Dilshan Chamikara.

Dr. Thenuwara, who is also a former Director of the Department of Economic Research, compiled the book from a series of articles he had written for local newspapers, providing insights into current trends and challenges facing Sri Lanka’s economy.

The book is expected to serve as a valuable resource for policymakers, offering strategic perspectives and lessons drawn from past experiences to address the country’s pressing economic concerns.
