Bimal rides the office train

Transport, Highways, Ports and Civil Aviation Minister Bimal Ratnayake boarded the office train that left Moratuwa at 7.13 am yesterday (20) and reached Colombo Fort.

The Minister is said to have identified certain issues related to the railway travel from this journey which took place without any prior notification.

The Minister also took the opportunity to have a cordial conversation with passengers and get their views and suggestions related to train travel.

It had also been observed that there was no fans in this train, even though it was a not that old.

It was also observed that there was no facility for disabled people to board the train.
