No More Vehicle Import Licenses for MPs – Foreign Affairs Minister

Foreign Affairs Minister Vijitha Herath says that no MP will be granted a license to import vehicles from now on.

The Minister stated in a television program held yesterday (20) that he accepts that ministers and MPs must have a vehicle for official purposes.

Minister Vijitha Herath said that the government will take steps to provide a vehicle to all 225 MPs in the future and that when the vehicle is withdrawn, it will be returned to the government or its value will be paid and taken into their possession.
