Kenyan President congratulates President Dissanayake on 77th Independence Day
Dr. William Samoei Ruto, President of the Republic of Kenya, has extended his warm congratulations to President Anura Kumara Dissanayake and the people of Sri Lanka on the occasion of Sri Lanka’s 77th Independence Day.
In his message, President Ruto expressed Kenya”s deep appreciation for the long-standing diplomatic relations between the two nations, emphasising their shared history in the struggle for self-determination. He highlighted the robust cooperation between Kenya and Sri Lanka in trade and investment, the blue economy, and agriculture, as well as their collaborative efforts in advancing global development goals, including the UN Agenda 2030, the Sustainable Development Goals, and the Pact for the Future.
President Ruto reaffirmed Kenya’s commitment to strengthening the warm and cordial ties with Sri Lanka and wished President Dissanayake good health and continued prosperity for the people of Sri Lanka.
