New 3-storied building for Daranagama Maha Vidyalaya

The new three-storied building built at Daranagama Maha Vidyala premises in the Biyagama Education Division, will be opened on Friday (07).

This building, built by the Alumni Association of the school and the local business community, at a cost of Rs 20 million, has been named after a distinguished, former Principal of the School P.A. Somapala, who served between 1977 and 1997. The new building will be inaugurated under his patronage.

Housing and Urban Development Minister Anura Karunathilaka, Western Provincial Education Director P.R. Devabandhu, Kelaniya Region Education Director Nilmini Perera will participate, among others.
