Jaffna to get Rs. 170 Mn indoor stadium

A proposal to construct an indoor stadium in Jaffna aimed at promoting indoor sports and enhancing sports infrastructure in the Northern Province has received Cabinet approval.

The project, proposed by the Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports, is estimated to cost Rs. 170 million.

It seeks to support the development of sports such as table tennis, tennis, badminton, netball, and chess, particularly at schools and local sports clubs.
