Wickramarachchi Hearing Care celebrates World Hearing Day

Wickramarachchi Hearing Care, to celebrate World Hearing day falling today (March 3) will initiate a project to make Telemedicine a part of their future.

“We are planning to start these mobile hearing checkups that would be beneficial for the country’s rural areas, making hearing care a reachable facility for everyone,” said Chairman Wickramarachchi Hearing Care Mihira Wickramachchi.

World Hearing Day is a campaign held each year by the Office of Prevention of Blindness and Deafness of the World Health Organization.

Wickramarachchi Hearing Care has been successful in providing over 165,500 hearing aids for the community up to now.

“In addition, Wickramarachchi hearing care has always been forward in assisting the less fortunate and have been successful in donating over 7000 hearing aids under the charity sunflower project, bettering the lives of many kids and adults with hearing impairments.”

Wickramarachchi Hearing Care is also the only provider of cochlear implants for all the prime surgeries done within Sri Lanka. We have been successful in providing over 1200 cochlear implants up to now, giving individuals with hearing impairments the miraculous opportunity to sense sound.
