Sri Lanka joins Global Coalition for Social Justice

The Cabinet of Ministers has approved Sri Lanka’s participation in the Global Coalition for Social Justice, an international platform under the International Labour Organization.

The move is expected to strengthen labour protections, promote decent work standards, increase women’s workforce participation and improve social protection measures, including insurance coverage for workers in the private and informal sectors.

The Ministry of Labour will act as the national coordination centre. (Newswire)
