Landslide warnings extended for five districts

The National Building Research Organisation has extended the landslide warnings issued to five districts, effective until 8:00 a.m. tomorrow (19). 

Accordingly, red alerts have been issued to the Medadumbara, Doluwa, Ududumbara and Minipe Divisional Secretariat Division(s) (DSD) and surrounding areas in the Kandy District. 

Red alerts have also been issued to the Hanguranketha, Nildandahinna, Walapane and Mathurata Divisional Secretariat Division(s) (DSD) and surrounding areas in the Nuwara Eliya District.

Amber alerts have been issued for several areas in the Badulla, Kandy, Kurunegala, Matale, and Nuwara Eliya Districts. (Newswire)
