Kaduwela Mayor’s security officer granted bail over alleged threat to lawyer

The personal security officer of Kaduwela Mayor Ranjan Jayalal, who was produced before the Kaduwela Magistrate’s Court on charges of threatening a female lawyer, was released on a surety of Rs. 100,000 on Friday, court officials said.

The suspect had been arrested following a complaint alleging intimidation and verbal threats against the lawyer. (Newswire)
