Entrance tickets to Zoo and safari parks increased

The Treasury has decided to revise the prices of entry tickets to zoological gardens and safari parks that are under the purview of the National Zoological Department.
 

The decision has been taken to revise the ticket prices due to the rising cost of animal maintenance and the problematic situation with the foreign exchange rate. The Department said that ticket prices were revised after the year 2017.

 

New charges:

1. Dehiwala Zoo and Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage:Local Adults : Rs. 200/- and Local Children : Rs. 50/-

 

2. Ridiyagama Safari Park : Local Adults: Rs. 500/- and Local Children : Rs. 150/-
