Sailors Madusanka and Premakumara record fastest time

The second heat of the Open double (2x) category was the fastest race of the day, Madusanka and Premakumara (Navy) had the fastest time record (07:33) and they will be the favorites for the finals at the 37th Rowing Nationals worked off at Diyawanna Rowing Center, Koswatta.

The Under-fourteen single scull (1x) girls is a good and even level category, I believe we will have an excellent race for the final this Saturday.

The single scull (1x) OPEN category was dominated by the woman’s favorite Weerakoon (Army) and the man’s favorite Kariyawasam (Air Force).

The men’s quad (4x) of Colombo Rowing Club showed great potential by signing the best time of the heats (06:38) but only one second in front of the winners of the other heat (Navy).

From the juniors side, the Junior men’s pair (2-) from Saint Thomas and the single scull from AIS gave a really good impression in their first heat.
