Jinthupitiya shooting: 02 Police officers accused of dereliction of duty granted bail

Two police officers were arrested for allegedly failing to perform their duties at the time of a shooting in Jinthupitiya earlier this month.

The officers, who were assigned to mobile patrol duties, were taken into custody by the Modara Divisional Crimes Investigation Unit in connection with a shooting that occurred on Feb. 14.

They are expected to be produced before the Colombo Chief Magistrate’s Court. (Newswire)
