Warning issued for Depression over Southeast Bay of Bengal

The Meteorology Department today issued a weather Warning for the Depression over Southeast Bay of Bengal-For deep sea fishing and naval community.

 

The Depression over Southeast Bay of Bengal, is developed in to a deep depression and lay centered at 08.30 a.m. on 21st March over Southeast Bay of Bengal and adjoining south Andaman Sea near latitude 12.3 N and Longitude 93.8E (12.3N 93.8E). It is likely to move nearly northwards along Andaman Island, intensify into a cyclonic storm during next 12 hours, the Department said.

 

Fishing and naval community are requested to be attentive future forecasts issued in this regard.
