A sparkling unbeaten 172 runs by Manudi Dulansa Nanayakkara enabled Princess of Wales’ College Moratuwa to beat Newstead College Negombo by a massive 267 runs in their inter school under 19 cricket tournament conducted by Sri Lanka Schools and played at Cambrian Grounds Moratuwa.
Manudi had 18 hits to the rope and 7 over and occupied the crease for 120 minutes and faced 102 balls and associated a third wicket partnership of 122 runs with Shani Madushika who contributed 53 runs and perhaps this may be a school record for her school.
Batting first homesters amassed 347 for 3 in 30 overs and in reply visitors were bowled out for a paltry 80 runs with Nethmi Tharuka claiming 5 for 28.
