Journalism Awards for Excellence

Four outstanding senior journalists attached to the Lake House who left an indelible mark in their career received the Lifetime Achievement Awards at the 19th and 20th Editions of the Journalism Awards for Excellence held at the Hilton Hotel on Tuesday. The recipients D.P. Wickramasinghe (Daily News), Pushpa Rowel (Dinamina), Dayalatha Weerasinghe (wife) on behalf of late journalist and lyricist Saman Chandranath Weerasinghe (Dinamina) who received the award posthumously and Upali Fonseka former Pictures Editor at the ceremony.
