Hold immediate debate on IMF Report – Ranil

UNP Leader Ranil Wickremesinghe has requested an immediate debate on the IMF report on Sri Lanka’s economic situation in Parliament.

Wickremesinghe has made a written request in that regard from Speaker Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena and Leader of the House and Minister Dinesh Gunawardena.

He has stated that it is of utmost importance that the Government presents its plan with regard to the content in the report.“As the Government has chosen to engage the IMF for financial assistance, it is necessary that the IMF report be discussed in Parliament,” the former PM stated in the letter.
