7 new Lanka Metro Transit bus routes announced for Colombo

The Lanka Metro Transit project has announced seven new bus routes covering Colombo and its suburbs as part of efforts to provide a more efficient, convenient and organized public transport service.

The new routes are:

Makumbura – Pettah (23.3 km)

Millennium City – Colombo Fort (22.3 km)

Kadawatha – Makumbura (34.8 km)

Dematagoda – Panadura (28.7 km)

Battaramulla – Ekala (29.9 km)

Kollupitiya Circular Route (14 km)

Kesbewa – Pettah (35.7 km)

The expanded network is expected to improve connectivity between Colombo and surrounding areas while enhancing the overall public transport experience for commuters.
