21-year-old arrested over obscene Facebook posts involving women and children

Police have arrested a 21-year-old man accused of operating Facebook groups and pages that shared photographs of women and children in an obscene manner.

Officers from the Police Bureau for the Prevention of Abuse of Children and Women arrested the suspect at his residence in the Beliatta area on Thursday (27), police said.

A team including the bureau’s officer-in-charge conducted the arrest during a morning operation.

The suspect’s mobile phone was taken into police custody, and further investigations are being conducted by the bureau. (Newswire)
