Two killed in wild elephant attack
Two people were killed in a wild elephant attack in the Pahala Usgollewa area within the Kebithigollewa Police Division on Friday, Sept. 4.
Kebithigollewa Police launched an investigation after receiving information about the incident Friday evening.
The victims, aged 51 and 67, were residents of the Kebithigollewa area.
Police investigations revealed that the two were clearing land in a paddy field in Usgollewa when they were attacked by a wild elephant.
