Justice Minister briefs Brazil envoy on judicial digitalisation, legal reforms

Sri Lanka and Brazil have reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening bilateral trade, judicial digitization, and legal cooperation during a high-level meeting between key officials today (28).

The meeting was held at the Ministry of Justice and National Integration between the Minister of Justice and National Integration, Attorney-at-Law Harshana Nanayakkara, and the newly appointed Ambassador of Sri Lanka to the Federative Republic of Brazil, Jorge Geraldo Kadri.

During the discussion, Ambassador Kadri emphasized enhancing the longstanding friendship between both nations, boosting business and export activities, advancing good governance, and pursuing bilateral solutions to shared issues.

Minister Nanayakkara briefed the Ambassador on Sri Lanka’s nationwide judicial digitization program, aimed at transitioning from traditional case files to an efficient, modern justice system. The Minister also outlined the country’s ongoing legal reforms. (Newswire)
