Hasaranga, Shanaka among Top ILT20 auction contenders

Wanindu Hasaranga, Dasun Shanaka, Avishka Fernando and Kusal Perera are among the Sri Lankan cricketers shortlisted for the DP World ILT20 Season 5 Player Auction in Dubai on Oct. 1.

Hasaranga and Shanaka are listed in the USD 80,000 price category, while Avishka and Kusal are in the USD 40,000 category.

More than 400 players from 23 countries are set to feature in the auction. Each of the six franchises will have a purse of at least USD 1.3 million, including any remaining funds from pre-auction signings.

The Season 5 tournament is scheduled to run from Nov. 21 to Dec. 20, with matches in Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Sharjah. (Newswire)
