PM Harini inaugurates second day of National AI Expo 2026

Prime Minister Harini Amarasuriya participated in the official inauguration of the second day of the National AI Expo 2026 held today (30) at the Monarch Imperial under the theme “AI Amplified.”

The two-day exhibition, held on September 29 and 30, was jointly organised by the Ministry of Digital Economy and SLT-MOBITEL, providing students with an opportunity to engage with developments in the field of artificial intelligence.

The event brought together more than 60 speakers from 16 countries, along with representatives from the government, industry, startups and academia.

The National AI Expo provided a platform to showcase products, discuss policies and promote the adoption of artificial intelligence across Sri Lanka.

During her visit, Prime Minister Amarasuriya also toured the industrial and educational exhibition stalls at the event.
