NBRI issues landslide warnings to several areas

The National Building Research Institute (NBRI) has issued a Level 2 Amber landslide early warning for the Kolonna Divisional Secretariat division in the Ratnapura District, effective from 4:00 PM today (13) until 4:00 PM tomorrow (14).

Building on this updated advisory, a Level 1 Yellow warning has also been issued for multiple areas across several districts, including Ella and Passara in the Badulla District; Padukka in the Colombo District; Katuwana and Walasmulla in the Hambantota District; Bulathsinhala and Palindanuwara in the Kalutara District; Mawanella, Ruwanwella, Bulathkohupitiya, Yatiyantota, Kegalle, Aranayake, Dehiowita, Rambukkana, and Warakapola in the Kegalle District; Pasgoda, Aturaliya, and Mulatiyana in the Matara District; Hataraliyadda and Thumpane in the Kandy District; Ambanganga Korale, Rattota and Matale in the Matale District; Hanguranketha in the Nuwara-Eliya District and Kuruwita, Ayagama, Eheliyagoda, Weligepola, Ratnapura, Kalawana, Imbulpe, and Nivithigala in the Ratnapura District.
