Ramanna Sect Deputy Chief Prelate Ven. Sirivimala Thera passes away

The Deputy Chief Prelate of the Sri Lanka Ramanna Sect and Chief Incumbent of the historic Getambe Rajopavanaramaya in Kandy, Most Venerable Kappetiyagoda Sirivimala Thera, has passed away at the age of 95.

The senior Buddhist monk passed away on Sunday (October 18).

Ven. Sirivimala Thera was a prominent figure in Sri Lanka’s Buddhist clergy and served as Chief Incumbent of the Getambe Rajopavanaramaya for more than four decades.
