SLC denies Siddons resignation, confirms temporary absence

Sri Lanka women’s cricket head coach Jamie Siddons has not resigned and will miss the team’s next tour due to a personal issue, Sri Lanka Cricket’s CEO told Newswire.

Clarifying media reports claiming that Siddons had stepped down midway through his contract, the CEO said the Australian is currently overseas attending to a personal matter and is expected to return to his role.

Rumesh Ratnayake will temporarily oversee the team as interim head coach until Siddons returns.

The CEO said the arrangement is temporary and does not represent a permanent coaching change. (Newswire)
