Suspect arrested with 4.329 kg of ICE

The Police Special Task Force (STF) on a tip-off has arrested a suspect while he was transporting 4.329 kg of ICE (crystal methamphetamine) in Hendala, Wattala on Sunday morning.

According to the Police, the suspect has been transporting the drug by a luxury car from Mannar to sell it to a smuggler in Hendala.

The value of the drug is over Rs.40 million, Police said. The suspect is a 35-year-old resident of Mannar. He has been handed over to the Police Narcotic Bureau along with the car.
