Parliament prorogued

President Ranil Wickremesinghe prorogued the Parliament with effect from yesterday midnight and the next session will commence on August 03 at 10.30 a.m. as per the powers vested in the President by Article 70 of the Constitution.

The Gazette notification with Presidential proclamation was issued yesterday evening.
